Compression Options Explained

Output Format

Auto: Keeps your original format (JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG).

JPEG: Best for photos. Adjustable quality from 10-100%. Recommended 80-92% for most uses.

PNG: Lossless compression. Best for graphics with transparency or text.

WebP: Modern format with 25-35% better compression than JPEG. Recommended 85% quality.

Quality Slider

Adjust the compression level for JPEG and WebP formats. Higher quality = larger file size but better image. Lower quality = smaller file but visible compression artifacts.

Sweet spot for most uses: 80-85%

Resize Options

Maintain Aspect Ratio: Set width OR height, the other dimension auto-calculates to keep proportions.

Exact Dimensions: Uncheck aspect ratio to set exact width AND height. Images are center-cropped to fit without distortion.
